Copper Mountain

Nestled in the Ten Mile and Gore wilderness ranges just 75 miles west of Denver, Copper Mountain, a self-contained ski resort, resembles a small village. Copper Mountain is a full service resort that offers everything you could desire in a mountain vacation.

Copper Mountain is in the midst of a multi-year mountain upgrade. To date, they’ve replaced three lifts: Kokomo, American Eagle and American Flyer, and added Koko’s Hut, a modern, new, family-friendly lodge at the top of Kokomo lift on the mountain’s west side.

Copper Mountain plans to unveil a three-person, fixed-grip lift that will take skiers and riders up previously exclusive Tucker Mountain. Expert terrain there so far has been accessed only by snowcat on weather-permitting weekends.Originally, this stunning terrain was only accessible by snowcat services on very weather dependent days. Now, the Tucker Mountain Lift will start at the base near the Blackjack chair and rise up over 1,100 vertical feet and reach near the summit of Tucker Mountain at 12,200ft. The terrain in the area will be steeper chutes like the Taco Chute and open gladed runs.

If you want to be in the middle of it all, look no further than Center Village. This village contains many of the resort's dining and retail outlets plus the primary location for events. Access to the mountain couldn't be easier with a short 2 - 3 minute walk to the American Eagle and American Flyer lifts.

The American Eagle and American Flyer chairlifts provide easy access to all levels of terrain. The American Eagle is most appropriate for intermediate and advanced skiers. For beginners and intermediates, head to the American Flyer.
